Located 30 miles east of San Francisco in Walnut Creek, California, the Diablo Cyclists is a recreational road, touring and off road bicycle club. We are focused on providing cyclists of all levels an opportunity to ride, train and socialize with other bicycle enthusiasts. Our emphasis is more on the fitness, skill building, and social aspects of bicycling and less on racing. Please come out on one of our rides and get to know the friendly members of the Diablo Cyclists.

T-W-O Out of Town Rides this Month!

Join the Diablo Cyclists for two great out of town rides this month. The fall weather should be perfect for enjoying some of the Bay Area’s best backroads.

Jack K. will lead the Santa Cruz County Ramble on Saturday, October 12th. Start at the Lexington Dam Reservoir parking area, just up Highway 17 from Los Gatos. Be aware that there is a big construction project going on and that parking may be limited, but that there is a second parking lot further down on Alma Bridge Road. Bring your climbing gears for this 65 miler with lots of climbing! This is one of my favorite rides. The Santa Cruz Mountains offer some of the best riding in the South Bay.

On Saturday, October 25th we head to the North Bay as Stephen H. leads his third annual Tourning of the Leaves Ride in Sonoma County. The vineyards should be in full splendor with the red and gold hues of the fall foliage. Starting from downtown Windsor we’ll climb Chalk Hill to the Anderson Valley, ride down West Dry Creek and West Side roads to Guerneville along the Russian River, and then back. See the ride schedule for more details and directions to the start.

With shorter days approaching and winter on the way, join us for these two end of season favorites!
